Remit Consulting hosts a quarterly Property Managers forum, a space for property management firms to come together and have a discussion on topics that have been affecting them. The topics are generally proposed by the invitees, as often they want to know how others in the industry are dealing with, for example, changes in legislation. The forum generally lasts for an hour and, depending on the topic, might have a guest speaker to provide background for the later discussion. The invitees take turns in hosting, as that gives them first choice on what topic they would like to discuss and gives them an opportunity to exhibit their offices.
The opportunity for property managers to get together and discuss issues within the industry under Chatham House rules, allows all invitees and the industry to benefit by having a more coordinated approach to dealing with new circumstances.
