ANTI-MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT

Organisation

This statement is made on behalf of Remit Consulting LLP (Remit Consulting) pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the 'Act') and constitutes our organisation’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 5th April 2025.

Our business and structure

Remit Consulting is a specialist management consultancy in the real estate industry. We are an independent, and international team of real estate experts with offices in the UK and the Netherlands. We work primarily in 4 service lines: Technology; Cloud Based services, Business Transformation and Compliance.

Across our group, we have a core team of 8 employees and 3 Partners in the United Kingdom. We work with external consultants (Associates) and have worked across 20 countries.

Definitions

Remit Consulting considers that modern slavery encompasses:

• human trafficking

• forced work, through mental or physical threat

• being owned or controlled by an employer through mental or physical abuse or the threat of abuse

• being dehumanised, treated as a commodity or being bought or sold as property

• being physically constrained or to have restrictions placed on freedom of movement.

Purpose and voice

Remit Consulting acknowledges its responsibilities in relation to tackling modern slavery and commits to complying with the provisions in the Modern Slavery Act 2015. The organisation understands that this requires an ongoing review of both its internal practices in relation to its labour force and, additionally, its supply chains.

The organisation does not enter into business with any other organisation, in the United Kingdom or abroad, which knowingly supports or is found to involve itself in slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.

As an organisation, our purpose is to improve businesses in the property industry. This includes championing better work practices. No labour provided to the organisation in the pursuance of our own services is obtained by means of slavery or human trafficking. We adhere to the minimum standards required in relation to our responsibilities under relevant employment legislation in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.

Our supply chains & potential exposure

Our supply chains include consultancy, publishing, IT services, training providers and consultants, and marketing and PR services. We have reviewed the risks that these supply chains can present and whilst we consider our exposure to modern slavery to be limited, we expect our suppliers and contractors to demonstrate a zero-tolerance approach to exploitation.

Taking action

We will only engage with suppliers and contractors who confirm their compliance with the Act. We will continue to keep our staff informed and raise awareness of how to recognise and respond to indicators of human rights abuses. We have adapted and re-promoted our existing corporate policies to incorporate modern slavery and human trafficking issues.

We have not, to our knowledge, conducted any business with another organisation which has been found to have involved itself with modern slavery.

In accordance with section 54(4) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we have taken the following steps to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place:

Reviewing supplier contracts to include termination powers in the event that the supplier is, or is suspected to be, involved in modern slavery

Putting measures in place to identify and assess the potential risk in our supply chains

Undertaking impact assessments of our services upon potential instances of slavery

Creating action plans to address risk of modern slavery

Taking actions to embed a zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery

Training

We periodically provide updates and training, normally in a lunch and learning session which runs every month throughout the calendar year.

Compliance

This statement is made in pursuance of Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will be reviewed for each financial year.
