The Founding of Scope Netherlands

The 3 international rating agencies (Moody's, Standard and Poor's and Fitch) have been under fierce criticism in 2011 after downgrading both financials as well as listed real estate funds all over Europe and America. However, the need to inform investors on the risks of investing in real estate funds is more eminent than ever. So after a few years of feasibility studies, preparation and testing, Scope Netherlands was founded this autumn. Scope rates non-listed Dutch real estate funds mainly for the benefit of private investors. The 2 main products are investment ratings of closed end funds and management ratings. The company is jointly owned by Scope Analysis, a German rating institute from Berlin and Beurswaage, a Dutch fund analysis company.

Remit Consulting Netherlands was advisor from the start of the studies until the incorporation of the company.
